Four mass casualty bus accidents were staged over the past three years in Valleyview, Mayerthorpe, Alberta Beach and Whitecourt. All of these exercises included full first response emergency services and RCMP deployment and in the Mayerthorpe, Alberta Beach and Whitecourt exercises, all casualties were transported to the local hospital for assessment & treatment. The exercise in Whitecourt included community service involvement (i.e., victim services, Red Cross, town).
